Buying Gas
Buying gas for the car is an activity I engage in each week. For example, each Monday, I will purchase gas in the morning on the way to work or in the afternoon on the way home from work.
Last year during the COVID shutdowns, I went from March until June without buying gas; we are a two-car family. With my wife working from home, my son doing online schooling, and the virtual church, driving was an activity that we didn’t need to do much of.
I began to engage in different activities. For example, I got a coffee subscription and began to brew my own coffee. I took walks in the morning, looked at the flowers, and listened to the birds.
I didn’t miss buying gas. I didn’t miss driving.
Fast forward a year. I am back to driving, back to buying gas.
