Farewell 99.

Farewell to the 99. It was shocking to see the headline: the 99-cent store was closing. A store that I felt so much love for was no more. It was fun to wander the 99. The store was bright, and there was always interesting items. The pumpkin spice Frosted Flakes, knock-off phone chargers, and bizarre snacks filled the aisle. As a teacher, you could always show up before Christmas and come up with gifts for your students. Planning parties was a joy; you went into the 99 and found all sorts of goodies that could be used for parties. A favorite memory was purchasing a turkey at Thanksgiving! I cooked the turkey for our school Thanksgiving fest. My last trip to the 99 was last week. I managed to get some IHOP chocolate chip cookie coffee sm. Then, in the end, it was just coffee and some pens. A good way to go out.
