Go your own way. Welcome to Black History Month
Our decisions can have negative consequences; I don't believe we make decisions hoping that they turn out bad.
We hope and pray for positive consequences; we don't go into a decision or an event planning or hoping to fail, or attempting to gain a negative outcome, but when it comes, and it often does, how do you respond?
You may be somewhere you don't want to be. A situation or a circumstance takes time, effort, and maybe some defeats, but we come back from them.
It could be that it may be time to pursue a different course of action, or it may mean that you reset and continue along the same path.
Either way, you will need to decide and decide to go your own way. The way you carve out, and hopefully, it is the road you believe will take you in the direction you wish to be headed in.
My podcast, The Steven Thompson Experience, features African American Heroes you may or may not have heard of. This month in this space, I would like to highlight some of them from past episodes. So, in the Episode, Go your own way. Meet- Moses Roper. He knew that slavery was not where he wanted to be.
