Gratitude in Transit

Travel day and break. As an educator, Winter Break is one of the best times of the year. We eagerly await its arrival and then mourn its end. It is a time to refresh our minds, bodies, and spirits. It also is important to remember that having this time off is a privilege, and I am thankful for it. I also realize that on this day when I travel, many people are going to work. To serve. People who drive to the airport. Check us in at counters, serve us food, rent us cars, and drive the bus to the rental car counter. It is important on travel days to honor those who serve. Tip well. Be patient. Acknowledge and be thankful that someone is there to serve you. If you are off, enjoy your break. If you are working. We are thankful and appreciate all you do.
