"Promoting Positive Stories: The Power of Realistic Hope and Everyday Heroes in a World Obsessed with True Crime"

Each day we hear about the worst of our society. Corruption in politics, deceit in our institutions designed for service. Assault, murder, theft, death by suicide, death by drug abuse, media personalities that make millions of dollars, and from millions of followers participate in childish behavior. Where does it end? What does this world need more of? The world needs more promotion of the positive events that are occurring day by day. I am not talking about wishful thinking or toxic positivity. The world needs more acknowledgment of the good that people do each day. We need to hear more about those who are saving lives by listening. The tales of nonprofit organizations who are helping the hopeless find hope. The doctors save lives. The nurses provide comfort. The teachers help children read, and the volunteers bring meals to the homeless. The world needs more of this. We need less true crime and more realistic hope. Why is watching the worst events in a person's life so popular? True crime is entertainment for some and relieving grief and trauma for others. There are so many who need healing. We need those devoted to serving and encouraging more people who lack purpose and meaning to understand that you can find significance in serving and helping others. This is what the world needs more of.
