Purpose or Process
Process or Purpose? Which one do you favor?
The Purpose is important, but to me, Purpose can be like the first crush you have in grade school; you think the boy next to you in math class is handsome, or the girl next to you in homeroom is so cute.
But if you just focus on Purpose this is what will occur- You spend each day dreaming of a future together, always in your head, and never chatting with the person. Why? Because it is safe in your head, and you have control over it.
The Process is messy, sticky, and it might not work. However, the Process is a plan, a practice, and committing to process, means committing to consequences, good or bad. I do think that if it is all process you will at some point burn bridges and loose supporters.
Purpose and Process need each other. Purpose without Process is daydreaming, and Process without Purpose is reckless and selfish.
Why not let them work together?
