Rest and Reflect
The days between Christmas and New Year’s are a time to rest, reflect, and plan for the upcoming year to come. A few routines that I implement each year include breaking in a new journal, spending time writing down what I am thankful for, sorting through my limiting beliefs and making decisions on how to combat them, and writing down what I wish to accomplish. In 2021 my wins included publishing two novels, blogging, podcasting regularly, and completing a Master’s Degree in Special Education to close out the year.
Along the way, we had to preserver through some setbacks, challenging situations, and circumstances that didn’t turn out the way I had hoped.
So what do I do? I push on. Set new goals, show up each day, and pursue them.
As I get older, I am learning to focus more on showing up and contributing more than hoping for results. In the end, there will be that which will work out and that which won’t. The only way to find out which is by showing up and participating, not waiting for certainty.
Where will you show up in 2022?
