Slowing down
Moving slower is nice. Waking up without an alarm clock. Progressing through the day moment by moment without expectations, deadlines, or a sense of urgency.
Enjoying the time you have with people you love. Taking the time to observe your surroundings and allowing your mind to relax.
It is important to build new memories and cherish old ones. As time moves on, you tend to forget what you did do, and then some of what you did do may blend into other events, and your memories have smashed together.
Family, Friends, Food. Walking along the beach, strolling down Main Street, stopping in stores, watching tv, reading a book or a magazine.
The mind and the body need time to rest. Time to recharge. Urgency, Importance, Deadlines, Joy, Pain. They all will be waiting for you in the future. There will be people to serve, projects to complete, hope to rediscover.
Right now. It is the present moment. Enjoy it. It is the only moment that you have.
