You should not ignore hard.

You can’t ignore hard, and you should not try to ignore it either.

Each day I will open up my email, and there will be a message that at some point will talk about living your dreams, making a difference, having an impact, etc. All of these statements are fine. I desire to live my dreams and to make a difference.

What these messages neglect, and what I want is this. Work is hard. Working with people is challenging, and the road to making a difference is filled with pain and heartbreak.

If you want to make a difference, or work towards change, Go for it. But know this. You will see people who are hurting, and you will experience pain as well. Do good anyway.
