Easy Mindfulness
A way to build a mindfulness habit is to think of mindfulness as a series of tasks rather than a magical event or a feeling. I built my mindfulness practice and found consistency and success by adopting that viewpoint. One example is this. Taking the time to listen to coffee brewing. I pause for a minute. After taking the time to dismiss the racing thoughts, My mind shifts over to listening to the coffee brew. The next task is to smell the coffee brewing. There it is.
