Expectations

Expectations are created. They are a story about the desired outcome. If expectations are fulfilled, we are happy. If expectations are unfulfilled, we look either to blame and punish or take responsibility and change.

Is this the right way forward? Does this lead to growth? Improvement or better?

Having high expectations may give you status or make you feel better. Perhaps it even instills confidence in those around you. But, in the end, having high expectations is just the beginning. Expectations are just a story. So, what is the story you are telling about them?
