Hard but why?

I have a difficult time being off of work. I feel guilty about it too. However, I know that I should be thankful that I accumulate paid vacation time and am free to take it as I see fit.

So to those who don’t have this benefit, I apologize; not everyone is blessed with these benefits.

Now I am not sure why I have a difficult time being off work.

It is puzzling to me; I take time to relax and do things that I enjoy. For example, going to the movies and trying out new coffee shops, going on trips with the family, taking books to read, and enjoying different types of food.

Yet, for some reason, it is challenging for me to relax and get content.

This doesn’t mean that I stop trying. On the contrary, I continue to decompress and get myself in a position to enjoy the time off.

Still, it is a perplexing issue to me. Why is it so hard to relax?
