Hmmmm. Thinking about Gratitude.
You know you can’t win every game, but you don’t want to go into a game thinking that losing is an option. There is a fear that if you admit that a possibility exists, you are making room for it to come to life in your situation.
So internally, to avoid a negative outcome, you believe if you don’t think about it, then it won’t occur, or if you do think about it, you can keep it locked up in your mind.
Neither option really works. Winning or losing is out of your control.
How about a different option? Be thankful you get to play the game. Be thankful for your ability to participate in the activity.
Gratitude can feel uncomfortable. What internal story do you tell about gratitude?
