Emotional Direction

Where are your emotions taking you?

Sit with that for a moment.

What does it take to begin to answer that question?

I would think that you would need to know that your emotions are taking you somewhere.

This could be good, or it could be bad.

Allowing your emotions to take you places can lead to disastrous consequences.

Just look at any media at the moment.

When a government official is accused of and is investigated for sexual misconduct, I don't believe he was looking forward to the outcome.

I don't believe he said to himself, I will grope this woman because I want people to call for me to lose my job.

Emotions can be your best friend or your worst enemy. They turn dark when they don't consider the negative consequences for yourself, nor do they consider your actions' negative impact on others.

So be cautious when you are moving in the direction of others.

So let us go back to the original question. Where are your emotions taking you?
