More than a feeling
Our feelings can be deceptive; they generate stories about ourselves that aren’t true.
Our feelings can also be indicators of unmet needs. In this capacity our feelings can act like wise sages or guides.
Explore these questions in regards to your feelings.
What do you say when something goes wrong?
When you have made mistakes in the past?
What needs do you believe that you need to meet?
What needs can you meet?
I have debt, have been let go of at jobs, I will be honest, the stories came fast, You aren’t good enough, other people are better, you don’t deserve another chance, blah, blah, blah.
But that isn’t reality. The reality is that you are a person with gifts, talents, skills, and competencies that contribute to making the world around you better when put into action and implemented. Feelings are story-generators, and sage guides point us in a positive direction.
That is more than just a feeling.
There are feelings, but the feeling should generate action, hopefully, positive action.
Negative circumstances are not joy; I am not thankful for negative circumstances, those who create them and perpetuate them deserve no credit or honor. We can rejoice in and find strength in our own strength that allows us to move forward.
