New versus Old

The search for new typically sends me back to what is old. For example, I want to listen to new music in 2024. Still, Spotify sends me artists that I listen to, and those artists are mostly from decades ago. As a younger person, I recall that I discovered music from friends and the radio. Now I don’t listen to the radio. If I do, it is talk radio or, again, a station that plays music from decades ago. So, how do I go about finding out what is new? I suppose I will need to be intentional in searching for new. It seems like a conundrum; searching for new things could lead to discontent with what you have, but if you never search for new things, experiences can grow stale. You have to embrace both. Sticking with the old leads to contentment and gratitude; many things in life fit this bill. For example, in relationships, I want to be content and thankful for what I have. A career is tricky. Do you want to try something new or learn to grow where you are? New experiences are not the enemy of contentment or gratitude. I believe they are nice partners.
