On becoming persistent.

There are many things I want but don’t have. A few examples- more readers for my blog, more listeners for my podcasts, and more book sales. I have also defined the reasons why I want more. For example, increased financial freedom, the ability to serve a larger group of people, and more freedom in where and how I work.

It is tempting to look at the lack of results and decide that being creative isn’t working out, so I should just quit.

That would be a huge mistake.

The truth is, what about being thankful for the ability to pursue the results in the first place?

I am thankful that I can consistently show up and post on a blog, create a podcast and have the discipline to write and publish two books.

I don’t have the results I want. So what. You can’t get the results you desire by quitting what you enjoy doing.

You become a resistant person by facing obstacles and overcoming them or being defeated by them.

The truth is, if I want more, I have to figure it out. In the same way, I figured out how to add and subtract and read. Dig in, persist.
