Levels of Satisfaction
Not being satisfied with where we are is real. It could be a job, a career, a relationship, the city we live in, or even our bodies. The reasons are many; relationships can be abusive, jobs can be toxic, cities are too expensive, our bodies can fail us.
In those cases, we look for ways to change the situation, to find a new venue to display or showcase our talents.
In other cases, dissatisfaction comes from internal angst. Looking around, our current state of life bears much to be thankful for. We have a career, a salary, friends, possessions, our health, but then the internal creep of more takes over, we could tell ourselves we aren’t measuring up, or we need to gain more, and the pursuit of more leads us to abandon what we have.
So what do we do?
Chart a path forward. Look for ways to contribute today and come to the realization that you do have the chance, the opportunities, and the ability to move in the direction you wish to go in. Today I can serve. My internal desire to give may not match the numerous opportunities that lie in front of me but in the end. I do have it within me to start where I am. We all can show up and give off the best version of ourselves even if we are waiting.
So plan, set goals, pursue dreams, but realize that the road requires that you walk down it.
