Passion

What are you passionate about and want to spend more time doing? That is an interesting question with so many different answers. I am passionate about coffee shops, bookstores, reading, listening to music, and watching sports and movies. I would like to spend more time engaging in these activities. Unfortunately, no one pays me to do these activities, so I must remain employed. It would be nice if someone paid me to do it these days, but this is different from my reality. There is a part of me that has a hard time even answering the question. I am not into the follow-your-passion craze. I am passionate about receiving my paycheck every two weeks, and that is because I have responsibilities to fulfill. I am passionate about advocating for students and families with special needs and reading plus researching. I am blessed to be able to do these daily. As I write, the conclusion drawn is this -passion has to be more than just attempting to create a special feeling. Passion is the energy that I bring to the tasks in front of me each day. It takes passion to do what I enjoy, and it requires passion to engage in non-preferred activities as well. What do you wish you had more time to do?
