Rental Car

It took me a minute or two to get the rental car going. For most of my driving life, when I entered a car, I placed the key in the ignition, then turned it, and the car started.

It is much different now. The car starts with a press of a button. Once I found the button, I needed to put the car in drive. Except the gear shift had reverse at the top, normally the park is at the top. Instead, the park was off to the right.

I did manage to get the car out of the space at the airport, but not without wondering if my age had to do with it. I mean, I should have been able to hop in and do everything with ease? Nope. It was a new experience. I just needed to be patient with myself, and along the way, I learned something new.
