Customer Service.. ugh
Rite-Aid went bankrupt. A list of store closures came out this week; after reading the list, I saw that my local store was closing. Since I got my medication from there, I went in to ask about a recent refill and to find out when they would close. The tech said next Wednesday and that my refill wasn’t ready. She said I could go to another Rite-Aid, or all my prescriptions would be transferred to the CVS down the street. I had prepared to transfer my meds anyway, but this situation frustrated me. Was Rite-Aid even going to tell us? Why didn’t I get any emails?
I am glad that I am proactive and took initiative. Perhaps this is why Rite Aid went bankrupt. If you don’t care enough about your customers, then they will stop coming to you. I am not mad at the people in the store. I am mad at the person in a corporate office who designs policies and procedures that they don’t have to take responsibility for. Those people decided to close stores and not inform customers. Those also are the same people, when called out, who will say something ridiculous like, we care about all of our customers. Saying it and doing it are two different things. I guess this is the real reason you went bankrupt. Is customer service dead, or am I just bitter? Let me know
