Guilt

When does guilt arrive? It arrives after a bad decision has been made. An example is in a court of law. A defendant is found guilty months and sometimes even years after committing a crime. Guilt is a powerful emotion. It usually makes you wish you had made a good decision. What if we experienced guilt first? Would this prevent us from making a poor choice? If we saw the decisions we might make, would that lead us to make better decisions, or would it lead to more fear? Would that the fear then lead us to not make good decisions? It is hard to know. What do you think about guilt?
