Making a difference.

How are you making a difference in the world? That is the question for today. Upon reflection, I am making a difference daily at my job. I need to advocate for the students that attend the school I work for. I aim to make a difference in the lives of the students, staff, and parents. My difference comes from being present, showing empathy and concern, and setting an example. Another difference is in my spiritual community. I host our small group each week, ranging between 10-12 people. We discuss the bible and other spiritual works. My content creation is another way I work to make a difference in the world by the example I set. I also am making in difference in the lives of my wife and son. Deciding to make a difference in the world is also a form of contribution. It could be easy to check out and be apathetic in facing challenges, setbacks, grief, and tragedies. Difference-making arises from the rubble of defeat. It can become a triumph for yourself and others through your service.
