Time and Money
Did you even consider that some situations you encounter are so bizarre, strange, or intense that you don’t have a frame of reference on how to respond to it? Inside you may want to scream and run away. It is important not to take that course of action. It would be troubling to those you are seeking to serve. Screaming and hollering aren’t effective solutions to problems. You can get lost in your mind and wait for a solution to come your way or not. One thing you can do while you are lost in thought is mediated on this question.”If money was not an issue, how would you spend your time? At this moment in time, I would travel and go to bookstores and coffee shops. Hang out at the beach, and take friends out to dinner. I would find people who needed help and ways to support them with money. I enjoy staying busy, and I know that an abundance of money would not alter my desire to work or to serve. I would be free to do it on my own time and build out my schedule. The ability to have decision-making power over how you spend your day is important to me. So the next time you encounter that strange or bizarre situation, wander into your mind and consider how you would spend your time if money wasn’t an option.
